Experience the hottest entertainment this summer at the Palace of Dreams. The magical Garden of Lights and hilarious comedy festivals are just some of the highlights you can expect at Emperors Palace this festive season! Summer at the Palace kicks-off with the dangerously funny Barry Hilton who will be performing from 18 to 20 November in the Theatre of Marcellus. Audiences will enjoy a comedy show of note as The Cousin violates the laws of normality with his audacious wit. Laugh till you drop as Hilton’s quick wit, animated physical antics and hilarious facial expressions take the audience on a humorous journey. Tickets are only R120 per person.

Caper de Vries is back on stage with his brand new comedy show – VarkinHel. Performing from      24 November to 18 December, de Vries has aptly named his show VarkinHel, after critics of his previous shows called him a “vark in hel”. This show is not for sensitive or shy individuals as de Vries tackles any topic under the sun. Come and enjoy an evening of Afrikaans humour in the Theatre of Marcellus with tickets from R115 per person.

In support of former president Nelson Mandela’s 46664 campaign, nine of South Africa’s top comedians will take to the Centre Court stage to create awareness on World Aids Day, 1 December with the 46664 – Its no Joke comedy spectacular. The hilarious line-up comprises of Riaad Moosa, Nik Rabinowitz, David Kau, Tumi Morake, Chris Forrest, Deep Fried Man, Joey Rasdien, Conrad Koch and Darren Simpson. Tickets are R186 per person.
The mesmerising Garden of Lights will be on display between 19h00 and 22h00 daily from
2 December to 2 January 2012.  This delightful wonderland, comprising of 4140m of fairy lights, will provide an evening of fun and entertainment in the garden of the D’oreale Grande hotel. Entry into the garden is free and children are welcome to take pictures with Santa and his elves.

Young and old can look forward to the loveable Liewe Heksie live on stage in the 64@ The Palace from 7 to 17 December. Experience the drama, intrigue and adventures that Liewe Heksie and Karel Kat share with the audience. With one show daily, tickets start from R90 per person.

The cave-family is back! Groet Die GrotOupa will be performed in the 64@ The Palace from 7 to 17 December. The more mature audience members will especially enjoy this funny production which puts a humorous spin on grandfathers and their antics. Afrikaans performer Ben Kruger is the grotoupa and tickets starts from R110 per person.

Celebrate Christmas with a Kersfeesviering met Izak Davel on 22 December in the Theatre of Marcellus.  Take a trip down memory lane and relive your fondest Christmas childhood memories as Izak performs the most popular songs this festive season.  Tickets start from R85 per person.

Pop meets classic music at a unique concert featuring a combination of Belgium simphonic and Afrikaans pop sounds on 26 December. The Brussels CBS Orchestra shares the Centre Court  stage with some of the biggest Afrikaans performers, including Romanz, Heinz Winckler and Nianell. Tickets for Pop Ontmoet Klassiek start from R150 per person.
