Nataniël’s new show paints Gauteng black and white

25 January 2012

Renowned South African singer, writer and performer, Nataniël, will successfully launch his latest production Black White Man Woman at Emperors Palace this summer, taking place from 16 February to 25 March 2012.

Funny, tragic, exciting and beautiful, Nataniël’s all-new performance celebrates the many grey and in between areas, situations and characters many do not dare to face or acknowledge.

Nataniël adds, “In a country where history, politics, colour and tension have been dominated for years by black and white, it is interesting to know that the majority of the world’s population does not fall into one of these two categories”.

“In a social system where millions of children have been born from mixed marriages, it is crucial to find out who decides where the borders lie”.

The show includes all-original music ranging from pop, rock and soul to old-world torch songs and jazz, and also includes a collection of wild and creative new stories presented in the typical and much loved “Nataniël” style.

See Nataniël perform in the Theatre of Marcellus with singers Lindiwe Bungane, Tonia Selley and Nicolaas Swart, joined by Charl du Plessis (keyboards), Juan-Pierre Oosthuizen (guitar), Werner Spies (bass) and Hugo Radyn (drums,) and amazing costumes by Floris Louw.

The show will be performed Wednesdays to Saturdays at 20h30, and Sundays at 15h00 in the Theatre of Marcellus. Regretfully no children under 15 are allowed. For bookings and further information please contact the Emperors Palace Box Office on (011) 928 1297/1213 or Computicket on or 083 915 8000.
