Do not miss this unique and elegant performance presented by Edouard Maisnikov!
For more than one and a half centuries music of Tchaikovsky P.I. has generated great interest amongst all generations and people all over the world and continues to mesmerise to this day. His three ballets - Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Nutcracker are true pearls of the world ballet treasure. Ballet "Paquita" was staged for the first time in Russia in 1847 for the Imperial Ballet of St. Petersburg by Marius Petipa. In 1881 Petipa produced a revival of the ballet for which he added new pieces specially composed by Ludwig Minkus. Today these pieces, particularly the Pas Grand pas classique, are major cornerstones of the traditional classical ballet repertory, and have been staged by ballet companies throughout the world. Yuri Vetrov - a former director of the Bolshoi Ballet, has prepared a special programme this year. The programme is called "Stars of the Ballet Russia". We would like to extend an invitation to all lovers of classical ballet to join us for this unique and elegant performance by the treasured "Stars of the Ballet Russia".
