Col’Cacchio Pizzeria launches new branch at Emperors Palace
19 August 2009
With branches across South Africa, Col’Cacchio’s latest addition at Emperors Palace sees the expanding restaurant chain reach new patrons in Gauteng and no doubt new heights of popularity. Recognizing the quality of their offerings and excellent value for money, Emperors Palace welcomes the new restaurant into their complex, adding what are arguably the best pizzas in South Africa to their array of dining choices for their valued customer.
Col'Cacchio - loosely translated as "up yours", is a defiant symbol against those who doubted the passion and fearlessness it took to start the very first Col'Cacchio restaurant. The name stuck and soon became synonymous with a fantastic range of delicious wood-fired pizzas and an impressive variety of freshly prepared salads and pastas. The group has steadily expanded from their beginnings in 1992, with 16 branches countrywide, growing in popularity and creativity along the way.
Col'Cacchio latest Celebrity Chef Series; a gourmet charity project that aims to raise funds for the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital, sees chefs Reuben Riffel, Mike Basset, Citrum Khumalo, Rudi Liebenberg, Margot Janse and Philippe Wagenfuhrer create pizza masterpieces, with the range being rolled out this year across all branches. Every month will showcase a different chef's masterpiece on promotion and for every one sold, R5.00 will be donated to the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.
Officially opened on Tuesday 5 May, Col'Cacchio at Emperors Palace saw the likes of media and celebrities making their own pizzas in clouds of flour and fun! When approached by Col'Cacchio requesting space in the newly redeveloped Emporium at Emperors Palace, the decision was an easy one. The fresh modern décor, the quality of their food, their value for money, their attitude towards the customer and their contributions to the community made Emperors Palace feel they were very much in line with their own brand and vision. Emperors Palace has welcomed Col'Cacchio into the Peermont family, while wishing them every success in this exciting new venture.
