Empangeni welcomes new casino!

The R115-million refurbishment and expansion of Peermont's Umfolozi Hotel, Casino and Convention Resort just outside Richards Bay brings with it a new 3-star Peermont Metcourt hotel, upgraded casino, excellent facilities and thrilling entertainment. After undergoing a complete refurbishment and rebrand by Peermont, one of South Africa’s leading casino and leisure companies, the upgraded casino now features 267 slots machines in smoking and non-smoking areas and 12 table games that include blackjack, American roulette and poker and a vibrant salon privé. Also receiving attention where the cashier booths and casino interiors which now boast colourful and rich décor which stay in line with the rich Zulu identity and culture of the resort.
The casino also boasts the newly refurbished salon privé with 30 slot machines and 3 gaming tables (roulette and blackjack). Guests have direct access to the new salon privé which is adjacent to the gaming floor, with exclusive parking for privé guests.
Visitors to the casino can take advantage of the resort's convenient card system (from 15 February 2011) which eliminates the need to carry cash. The new system means that visitors can enjoy hassle-free gaming without the bother of tokens and the need to queue for change denominations and wait for hopper fills. "By remaining at the forefront of gaming trends and with the introduction of coin-less gambling, we offer visitors the ultimate gaming experience. We have over twenty professional croupiers on the floor and our new express menu allows players to enjoy a bite to eat without having to leave the casino floor." says Herman Brits, Umfolozi General Manager.
